Sunday’s Esport championship event featured ten of the very best sim racers, with a mixture of fans and full time drivers all vying for the championship trophy. The event, which is brought to you with live commentary, features highlights of an incredible shootout which saw an insane battle for the top three spots contested by some very well-known current Hillclimb drivers including recent BHC Cup, presented by Footman James, class champion and 2021 European Hillclimb Masters qualifier, Tom Weaver. The drivers took to Cadwell Park circuit in an attempt to set the fastest time of the day. There were thrills and spills and pre-event favourite Ben Stephenson, who drives an Empire EVO 2 in the British Hillclimb Championship, presented by Avon Tyres, was looking to break his existing world record time at the circuit. It was great to see a large range of drivers with multiple genders and ages competing.
The inaugural championship is brought to you by McEntee Racing who will be trackside at selected BHC events, including the opening rounds at Prescott over the weekend of 23rd & 24th April, giving all fans the chance to drive on their racing simulators. The fan who sets the fastest time at the end of the 2022 season will have the chance to drive a 200bhp Hillclimb car in their very own private test. Look out for the team’s gazebo on the hills this year.
