The BARC is delighted to announce that BMTR, a long-standing service provider of Avon Motorsport and now Nova Motorsport, will become the title sponsor of the 2024 class based BHC Cup. As a result the Championship will be known as the ‘BHC Cup presented by BMTR.’
BMTR was one of the first independent tyre distributors in the UK. They were formed in 1919 by Jack Smith to meet the growing demand for vehicle tyres. Originally based in Broad Street, Birmingham, the ‘Birmingham Motor Tyre Repository’ offered a vast range of tyres, tubes and wheels. Turning to the present day the current BMTR Motorsport team carry a great deal of experience and passion for providing the best service over the phone and at Hillclimbs and circuits in the UK and in Europe.
Tim Wilson, Championship Co-ordinator of the Motorsport UK British Hillclimb Championship, commented: "BMTR’s commitment to the Motorsport UK British Hillclimb Championship and the class based BHC Cup is evidenced by their servicing presence at many Championship rounds. The BMTR team offer advice and guidance to competitors, as well as a tyre servicing and fitting service at many BHC venues. They are always a welcome addition to the Hillclimb paddock. The BHC is delighted to have BMTR on board as title sponsor of the class based BHC Cup for the 2024 season.”

The opening round of the BHC Cup takes place at Harewood in Yorkshire on Sunday 12th May. The cream of British Hillclimbing will be there competing in anything from a roadgoing saloon or sports car right through to a 700 horsepower bespoke Hillclimb single seater race car.
