BHC Rounds 17 & 18 Postponed

The following statement has been issued by Tim Wilson, Chairman of the British Automobile Racing Club Yorkshire Centre. As stated, this was scheduled to be a round of the British Hillclimb Championship presented by Avon Tyres and a round of the British Hillclimb Cup presented by Footman James. We await further guidance from Motorsport UK regarding the start of motorsport activities within the UK and will present a revised championship calendar if at all possible and safe to do so. POSTPONEMENT OF HAREWOOD EVENT ON SUNDAY 5TH JULY "Whilst there is still a possibility that motorsport may be able to resume in July, BARC Yorkshire Centre has taken the difficult decision to postpone the event planned to take place on Sunday 5th July. This event was a round of the Motorsport UK British Hillclimb Championship. We are in the process of considering how we can resume hillclimbing at Harewood, based on the latest guidance from Government, Motorsport UK and our support agencies. and are hopeful of being able to announce a revised calendar for the rest of this season within the next few weeks.

It is inevitable that we will have to make adjustments to how we run our events and it is on this basis that we have decided at this early stage to postpone the BHC event. We hope to be able to host this championship later in the season. We will keep you updated and look forward to seeing you all as soon as we are able. Stay safe." Tim Wilson
